In order to contextualize the aforementioned competencies in real-life situations, the adopted teaching approach prioritizes:
The teaching is characterized by lessons, exercises, case studies, scientific and technological laboratories, group work, and projects, company visits, participation in events, and more.
At least 60% of the total teaching hours are carried out by experts from the world of work, in addition to university professors and school institutions, researchers, and experienced technicians.
The courses are structured in modules, understood as sets of autonomously significant competencies recognizable by the world of work as a component of specific professionalism and identifiable as an expected outcome of the training course.
The courses last two years (2000 total hours) and are structured in 4 semesters. Each year (1000 hours) is structured in 2 semesters and articulated in 600 hours of teaching and 400 hours of internship. Each semester includes hours of theoretical, practical, and laboratory activities.
In the European Credit Transfer and accumulation System calculation metric, each module (or training unit) is designed in order to guarantee at least 1 credit: 1 credit = (classroom hours / internships + individual study hours) / 25. The pathways comprise a 3000 hours duration: (2000 hours of face-to-face lessons/internship and 1000 hours of study from home).
The ECTS credits – 60 for each course year – are defined by the volume and complexity of the work being carried out. In addition to the compulsory modules, preparatory ones are also provided for access.
The competencies acquired at the end refer to level V of the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (EQF). Upon successful completion, those who have followed the courses will obtain – after verification and evaluation – a Specialization Diploma for Applied Technologies.
This Diploma, issued by the Ministry of Education and Merit, is valid throughout the national territory and is a valid title for access to public competitions. To facilitate its recognition in the European Union and support the circulation of people, the Diploma is accompanied by a supplement prepared according to the Europass diploma supplement model.
The final assessment of the acquired competencies includes a written test, a theoretical-practical test, and an oral examination.
